The Essence
A journey through food, meaning, and culture
Food, Faith & Culture was born from the idea that food is more than nourishment '- it is language, memory, and revelation.
Through bread and wine, oils and spices, ancient gestures and shared meals, we can read the history of humanity as a sacred dialogue between survival and meaning.
This project explores how food - from the pages of the Bible to the tables of art and everyday life - reveals who we are, what we believe, and how we connect to the world around us.
It is a journey across time and disciplines: theology and anthropology, botany and art, literature and scent.
From the fragrance of incense to the sweetness of honey, from the grain preserved by Joseph to the light of Caravaggio’s still lifes, Food, Faith & Culture seeks the thread that unites the sacred and the sensory, the human and the divine, the visible and the symbolic.
It is not a religious project, but a profoundly human one — a path of research that embraces culture, beauty, and the timeless need to find meaning in the simplest gesture: breaking bread.
